Welcome to the closing event of our 1st Rooted & Radical Youth Poetry Festival! This reimagined festival rethinks scoring to allow poets to determine advancements to the All-Star Teams as well as nominate their peers for awards. Join us at the DuSable Museum of African American History, as we showcase poets who advanced to the All-Star Teams while also showcasing the 2022 award winners. This year’s theme “Let the Heart Speak” is inspired by a bell hooks quote "When we love, we let our hearts speak”. 💛 This will be our 1st in-person event in more than two years, so come celebrate our return with us!
